Thanks to the Arends for hosting a BBQ and online-nerdfest-draft party. The burgers were great and the "puppy chow" too. By far the best fantasy football draft party I've ever been to.
Unfortunately for the 3rd year in a row, I have been foiled in my attempts to draft Shaun Alexander in my fantasy football league (Midwest League). Thanks you very much, Mr. Ortmeier.
I think I have a pretty good team nonetheless. I drafted these guys, in the following order: Edgerrin James, Kevan Barlow, Terrell Owens, Matt Hasselbeck, Duce Staley, Jamie Sharper, Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer, Justin Fargas, Garrison Hearst, Anthony Simmons, Keyshawn Johnson, Jeff Garcia, London Fletcher. James Jackson, Freddie Jones, Dhani Jones, Olindo Mare, Eli Manning and Jerramy Stevens. Like anyone cares.
Not only can I wait for the NFL season to begin. But I am looking forward to the many football discussions the Struggletown Crew will have during the lunch hour. We endlessly talk about football as if it is our second job. Only if it paid by the hour. Go Seahawks!
