GOLF. Sometimes the game is good to you. Other days it's not. Today was the latter. Meadow Lakes was the battlefield of choice today. Lost half a dozen balls to the creek lined course. Surprisingly, I shot a 102. First my putter failed me, and then I developed the shanks on the back nine. Could have been worse.
The only positive out of the whole day was that my friend and I got two free rounds with carts and 2 free buckets of balls for the driving range. Since I still had a semi-bad ankle, I could only play with a cart. However, a tournament was going on and the course's cart supply was all used up. An hour after our original tee time, we finally got a cart to ride. And for our patience we were rewarded. Though with ying there's yang. On the last 3 holes it began to pour cold rain. FREE...another four letter word. It was just too good to be true.
